I'd see no need to seek attention then. A doctor would rather want to stay quiet and as far from any sort of spotlight as reasonable. Your problem of lack of information will be addressed in the body of this post, so carry on.

A Doctor would want to stay quiet, but once he knows Mafia is trying to kill him, it would be wise to speak about it in public, to make Mafia think that he's been saved and he's not actually the Doctor. The problem I was talking about, is that if you were to be the Doctor, it would be unlikely for you to also get the information about the next target.

I am sure saving someone would be considered an active ability, since one needs to declare the name of the person(s) they want to rescue.

That's obvious, but you were vague about which ability you were talking about (when you said "I need to mention that if the doctor had not used his ability in such circumstances, I'd think it was a waste giving the doctor ability to this person"). That's why I asked.

Well, it's Day 1, there's not much of a plot to twist xD

And of course, any attacks on me would go in vain simply because of an easily deducible reason. So I'll ask the mafia not to waste their time on me, and try to hunt someone else instead.

Why would any attack on you go in vain? Or to be more specific, how is an attack on you different to an attack on anyone else? If you get to know Mafia's next target with enough time to warn the Doctor, he can save any of us.

Dear great people of New Haven, I am about to speak, so hear me out!

I appreciate your votes, and I hope I will not disappoint you. So, I've devised an ingenious plan favoring the civilians to win this land as fast as can be. I'm aware this will attract angry voices and responses of denial- of none other than evil mafia members or their associates, but for the sake of our safety you must all listen and obey!

First, I will be requesting everyone to send me a PM with only the title of their roles. Once a civilian has done that, I will announce here in this thread that they were willing to be tested and therefore less likely to be a member mafia, without mentioning their roles. Those of you with a pure heart shall not fear such a test, but those evil ones in our midst will falter.

Using my ability, I shall test a role by random, but shan't speak the result. Those who lie will be cursed, and their names I shall speak forth. And they face the wrath of angry New-Havenies in the dawn of the next night. I will be waiting for your PMs..

no. voting you to be the leader does not mean you're 100% clear

if you were for some reason mafia-aligned, doing such stuff means instant loss for all of us... your ability is pretty strong, you should continue to use it every night and tell us the results ASAP, but revealing our roles should not be necessary

I planned to lynch you some days in after you collected enough informations anyways, so if you happen to be citizen side we should have enough information to win that game, and if you happen to be mafia side we know that all the information is false and we got a mafia member...


PS: your abilites still seem way to overpowerd to be true, i assume you're working together with somebody else eitherway (maybe isomniac? dunno)
