If they go out and say they are Inquisitor, how is that going to help you choose the correct one to lynch? It will only help WW to pinpoint. What bad thing can come from they silently gather info? Why risk their lives?

Previous mafia there was no ghost talk but this time, we need to make use of it.
How is this more "sane"? I totally agree with scouts staying under hood until they die, since all the info they can offer can be verified when the person they've checked dies. I can now claim to be an inquisitor and further say I've checked you and it turned out you're a werewolf, but then what? You're dead, and nobody can prove I'm lying (except the werewolves, but they wouldn't be stupid to confirm). Even then, the werewolf aligned inquisitor could have changed his alignment for that turn. Information inquisitors have gathered are only good to themselves.

The fact that the other inquisitor(s) refuse(s) to reveal themselves should make us trust TheNave more, however. And really, TheNave shouldn't go announcing whom he's willing to check.

There is no way we can trust Nave even now. Best strategy is let everyone gather their missing pieces for the GRAND puzzle and figure who is lying from bigger chunk of data. Now revelation of any other inquisitor only helps WW.

This is like a sudoku again but longer the game goes, easier it becomes to solve. But exposing clue-finders to WW only makes game harder to solve from town side.

Also, to add, the way you are putting some trust on nave gives me the impression that you both are suspicious >.>

I'm sorry... maybe it's because I'm an inquisitor myself, but I'm just unable to follow your logic on this one a-man...
it seems to me that you're agressivly trying to lure out all the other inquisitors... and like you said, we townies have no way to differentiate between town or ww inquisitor... yet the werwolfs can easily tell who the town inqs are and kill them of early before they can gather any information at all

so from my perspective, everything you're doing right now is trying to cover up your intention of helping the werwolfes

tl;dr:

I can then choose to lynch one of them with a higher chance of sniping a werewolf. That's why it's only bad for the werewolves-aligned inquisitor to show themselves right now. If the other inquisitor is town-aligned, then they should realize that it will in fact, in contrast with what you say, help US pinpoint a werewolf. The werewolf-aligned inquisitor is less likely to reveal themselves, and that's why he should immediately become the suspect once they've been found by a scout.

Exactly.

Would you as a werewolf really go after an inquisitor? I would want to stay as far from that as I can. I'd want people to refrain from lynching an inquisitor in fear they'd get theirs, but if he's already dead - and especially if he's devoured by a werewolf - then there is nothing to fear and all to gain from lynching an inquisitor.

How?

You do realize that by making everyone vote "no-kill" you can't make any future deductions from that side, right?

I am not making anyone vote for no-kill.

But here, now, Let's say 2 more people came said they are inquisitor. and they really are. and one is WW.

they each blaming each other and none accepts being human.

who will you vote to lynch now?

WW will kill remaining 2 1 by 1 each night and town will have no way to reveal any alignment no more.

One of them. The next round I would vote to lynch the other.

But suppose no other inquisitor appears? I'd lynch him once the scout finds him out.

Quote:WW will kill remaining 2 1 by 1 each night and town will have no way to reveal any alignment no more.
But how do confirm what the inquisitor says is the truth when he claims someone is a werewolf?

Here is a list of questions I came up with.

1-Suppose a self-proclaimed town-aligned inquisitor appears and claims to have checked X, and that his results returned that X is a werewolf, what would you do?

2-Suppose you choose to lynch X, and he dies, is he really a werewolf just because that inquisitor said so?

3-When will you ever confirm X is town or werewolf?

4-Suppose werewolves killed someone at night, and it turned out that person is an inquisitor, what does this suggest about that inquisitor's alignment?

5-What would you do if a scout comes afterwards and reports he's found another inquisitor?

6-Given all this, should werewolves really care, or even want, to kill an inquisitor?

Wait, are you not even sarcastic?

On death, Alignment is not revealed. Even if everyone says truth such as knight-scout-bard-occultist, without Inquisitors you simply cannot know whether you even lynched a WW or townie.

Inquisitor is a key role this game. And your plan involves bringing all of them out and killing them one after the another.

I know.

Right. I can't even tell whether the inquisitor who's giving me instructions is werewolf-aligned or town-aligned.

I'm arguing he isn't. The scout is more valuable.

It'd be wonderful if you'd answer the questions in text. I really need to know how you guys think. Perhaps, I am the one whose line of thought is flawed here.
