Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0
Simon: Let's check it out.

Simon boldly steps forward faster than anybody else could object. He slowly and silently marches to the camp, the others following him with open eyes and ears. There don't seem to be people around. As they all reach the fireplace and look around, they notice the tents are empty.

SirFrog: Perhaps this is the camp of the pack we've taken care of.
Simon: I'm not sure whether I should be glad or disappointed by this fact.

Bamboori turns around and suddenly sees a young person's face peeking at them from behind one of the tents. As he notices Bamboori's gaze on him, he quickly turns around and starts running off in the western direction.

Follow the obvious Bait into a trap!

Can't somebody just shoot a fireball or something next to him? I'd like him to stop and possibly talk.
Yes I could shoot an arrow but that would make less of an impact.

Oh okay, dark Bolt on his leg!

Unlikely that you're gonna hit a running target that is quite a distance away exactly at his leg with such low accuracy :p

Shooting painful arrows and fireballs is more likely to tell the person you're not a friend though. That young face might have been someone innocent.

I wonder, should we send Phil the purple cat to scout ahead? Meanwhile we can search the tents for things/clues.

edit:
My logic:
- purple cat is fast, can catch up.
- purple cat is less suspicious than person.
- purple cat is less likely to trigger traps and more able to escape.
- communication to the person might be a bit more difficult, but body language and Snor exists.
- worst case scenario, Phil can still provide an aura and much easier to rescue than if a whole person is trapped.

@Simoneon
v That works too. Simon then.

I mean, he can't be faster than a ninja can he? I could just run to him and ask what's up. And if I get into ambush or some trouble I can just use smoke bomb and get away

No, you can't use smoke bomb!

So according to Ramond:
a) Bamboori is first to see the guy. Need to account for reaction time and to shout an instruction.
b) Agility determines how fast a person runs. Phil actually is the fastest at 30, followed by Bamboori & Simon tied at 28.

Guy likely saw our whole party including cat. If we're going to send Phil or Simon, we'd need to shout an instruction anyway, while Bamboori going alone would be overall fastest due to reaction time and make the least noise.

I guess we should let Bamboori go ahead on his own. If you guys think it'd be better anyway, can also shout out to ask Phil to follow (and hopefully no one catches on "Phil" is the cat).

hmmm I really want to throw some spells at him though... I mean, why is he running away if he's innocent? he must be an enemy...
I say, capture and torture interrogate him... and my spell flies way faster than anyone of us can run I suppose

oh wait I didn't see Ramonds edit on my post (why didn't I get a pm for that?!)... welp scratch my idea then...

Bamboori: Hey!

He immediately sprints after the strange young guy, the others needing a few seconds to realize what's happened. Running through a forest proves to be a rather difficult task, and so it is inevitable that after a while he trips and falls onto his face.

Bamboori: Ouch! Bloody boots. Guess I'll need to get used to them first...

A purple bolt flashes by. Phil has taken on the pursuit and actually comes close to grab the escaping figure, but then decides to hold still when they reach another camp. It seems like the stranger belongs to them, since he is conversing with some other bandit figures around the camp's fireplace, fully out of breath. They then proceed to enter their tents, most likely to gather their weapons. Phil has seen enough and returns to Bamboori, where the others have gathered in the meantime as well.

Phil: Meeee-eee-ee-eeow!
snorsorbet: Translation: There's another camp in front of us and the boy seems to have warned them of our presence.
SirFrog: How many were there?
Phil: Me-ow!
snorsorbet: Translation: At least six of them, but there were likely more in the tents...
Drahcir: Six doesn't sound too bad.
Bamboori: It doesn't, but they have the advantage of knowing these forests. They could easily ambush and surround us, especially if there's more of them...
