Agreed, we should barge in before the bandits can do anything and also question them at the same time.
We don't know if there are hostages or valuable stuff in the tents, else I would've suggested simply torching the tents. From the looks of it, it seems that the previous tents are empty because they were originally occupied by the Apl thieves we dealt with earlier. Oh, move Ian to row 4 before we begin battle. edit: v @Simoneon - Aight ninja to check the current tents around us just in case. one of us should quickly look at the current tents to maybe find something valuable (or alive) inside. and after that he should catch up with the rest of the group. I'd say snor is a good candidate, or maybe simon, because he could quickly catch up

Just wanted to point out you're halfway between the two camps. If anybody were to backtrack to the first camp, they'd take a few minutes to get back. A few minutes in which a lot could happen with the other camp.

Go forward. Should people get hostile, we can try to intimidate them. We DID just easily foil the last ambush, and if I were bandits, fighting us might be extremely painful. For them.

As they approach its center to look inside the tents, a loud whistle is heard, followed by massive rustling. Suddenly, the group finds itself surrounded by a large group of bandits that emerge from behind the trees and bushes around the camp, some of them equipped with bows, ready to fire at them anytime. ???: Halt! Don't move! Drahcir: *sigh* Relax. We are not moving. ???: What happened to the other camp? Where did they go?! Bamboori makes a quick count of their opponents and notices at least 8, but there are definitely a few more concealed behind tents or still in hiding.
