[solved] >.< Searching a special state
#1
I know i have seen it somewhere, but i neither remind where exactly, nor i'm able to find that thing again >.>

Could somebody tell me the state number of the "background-state"? If i'm not going wrong, it makes objects being displayed BEHIND all other objects (kinda as background), one use is the 8-Trigram in Neji's NTSD-move for example...

The problem is, that i can't find something useful: Both words, state and background are used in to many posts, so i get 1kk search results... surely the answer is somewhere there, but finding it would take hours -.-

Have fun searching for such a state.
The thing you are looking for is hit_j: in type: 3 objects.

Nah, moving them SLIGHTLY "backwards" isn't a solution... then they could still cover other objects "behind" them :/

You are sure there wasn't a special state?

I said it there, cuz someone else had told me about the background state somewhen... I guess it was in relation to someone asking how the 8-trigram of Neji works...

But seems like me and him were wrong XD

Then this thread is pretty much solved to me. Your answer:

Quote:The thing you are looking for is hit_j: in type: 3 objects.

The problem is still not solved -.-

I need a way to make the pic being displayed behind all others... of course i could send them up to the top edge of screen, but then they wouldn't be able to interact (grap, bdy's etc) with other objects...

How about letting other objects do the interacting?
Also, the hit_j: thingy can move so uber-f***** fast that you won't even notice.

Nice idea, but there would still be the problem, that a object, moved upwards, won't be displayed on the location where it should be... and due the upper edge isn't always on the same z-distance to the char all over the time i cannot simple fix it with changing the centery-value >.<
*headache*
Gargh, i guess this problem is kinda unfixable -.-

centery: 0 ?
perhaps much pretty? ...

-_-

should always show behind any sane/normal object above the ground - and be able to interact depending on its position

otherwise hit_j: 1 is pretty damn fast - and using zwidth makes it interact with anything in front of it

how about you tell us what exactly you need this for - as what you need doesn exist in that way you need a different approach, we cant truly help with that if we dont know what its supposed to achieve
