But though i can now present you my newest Char: NOHAN
As usual i don't intend to impress with big-bombastic-boom-sprites.
This time i (multiple ) recolored Bat ^^ (that's, btw, the reason for the slightly lack of originality in the sprites: Bat doesn't has much )
However, the DCing of this char is neither much advanced, nor basic: Nohan uses HEAPS of itr/kind:8 and Special-bdy's, kinda no move is running without (at least) one opoint and in total i confused myself pretty well several times XD
On the other hand it doesn't contains advanced moves (like Sharn does)...
In opposite to other of my chars, Nohan is not 115% (over)powered, but around 90-95% ^^
The problem is: He isn't very good in brawling, but also cannot fight well on far. His speciality is the troop support: Summoning shadows, launching some evil chasing black thingys or simply Black-Out-ing all the screen.

The download is attached as a 1MB-Zip-File.
It includes the dat-files, MANY spritesheets (lol), the official Nohan Logo (that one up there, only looking way un-pixelisher ) and a complete Readme with all necessary information like installation and move descriptions.
Of couse (Hey, what do you exspect by me?) here you go with some nice screenshots.
But as i said, this char is more a difficult-to-use supporter, then a guy with ultra-cool-famous-awesome-looking special moves...

Blown-up semi-transparency? Would be better if you could stick to the regular pattern (means 1px-squares instead of 2-3px ones). Other than that.... might be worthy to land on my HD :P

3 px ^^ It's not a simple Rudolf-Smoke in close view, it's a triple-sized Rudolf-Smoke in normal view XD
Imo this strange black pixels around the smoke look funny, don't they XD
- LF2 is crashing wtf? I only have 4 modded characters.( deleting very many files)
- shadow grab: cool attack, the sprites suck but anway.
- focus blast: come on, a bit editing of just resized images should be possible. Just a little rendering. Anytime I want to do it he does the d + a attack, but maybe that is just me. Would be cool, if the shadow would "transform" into the explosion, but I konw, you aren't a spriter.
- shadow drop: can't see the sprite anymore... Maybe it should be a bit smaller as the explosion also is very small.
-Shadow fist: cool. Very strong with that many allies, but as they all disappear when the char gets hit, its ok. It just looks a bit strange if you do that move just to cast allies and not do hit the enemy.
- mera-Shadow: Ah, it doesn't die! Nah, just kidding. It is quite fun to fight against them, but one of its teleports also uses those black shadow. That would be ok, if the sprite wouldn't be so boring. I mean, almost every attack uses it.
- Nachtmahr: Ah, lagging. Nevertheless very cool idea. I thought together with the heal move it would be overpowered, but I was wrong.
- up to here, very cool, sprites suck( because its the same all the time).
Before I forget: Maybe change the normal shadow a bit. Same colour as Justin is boring.

-reading: sounds awesome!
- hm... when I use run+jump, he transforms back and the bright version disappears. When he tries to transform to the shadow again, the explosion comes and he is normal again. O sometimes the vulnerable version stays and explodes after some time, then I can get two vulnerable versions. And the com stays there.
- shadow drive: cool.
- ambush+trap: can't see the attack anymore( can I say:"Ich kann nicht mehr sehen" in english?), but still cool.
- chaos pentagramm: I liked the normal version, I like this one, too.
- damned grounds: sprites suck, but good. YOu don't really get that the whole ground is damned Funny: If the enemy is in a corner of the bg, he can fly out of the air into the shadow he came out. Or maybe it just looks like that. You could make more of them for different enemies, but you can also leave it as it is.
Would be cool, if the enemy could fall into the ground instead of just disappearing.
- black out: that was it? Way too short! Make it longer! I don't think they have to get into one of these black things in the end but I don't know. Also you COULD make the attacks from the shadows a bit more random. I personally don't like permanently taking damage, but it is up to you.
Maybe I forgot the balancing a bit, because I mainly played in VS-mode against myself to test all attacks. Sorry, but I have to work on my char, too.
conclusion: good char, great and original main idea, sprites suck( but wtf). One thing you really should improve: If you use this shadow so often, try to make at least this time a good sprite! Or a sprite that isn't that boring. I haven't got time to do a good one, but even if you just make fog in photofiltre,then set down the brightness:
try it out a bit. My one is horrible but just to show you what I mean. Of course it can also stay black, but not how it is now.

Yeh, the sprites are sucky, but it was annoying/difficult enough to (mostly) debug all the interaction between Nohan and his henchmen

I would have choosen better sprites, but Bat doesn't gives you much...

BEFORE i added the timer it was overpowered... 200 shadows vs 1 enemy XD

How i should change him?
The darkness of the sprites is equal to the char's "shadow power" > Nohan bright, Mera-Shadow > dark, Pure Shadow > REALLY DARK... etc
I can't make Justin's sprites darker (he would seem to be a black point AND it wouldn't fit into upper row), he doesn't have RBG-Color, so i can't replace the colors wel (and in that darkness the color is kinda ignored anyway)... Not much choice :/

It's a strange little bug (fixed, btw, noted it ca. 20 minutes after release):
The teleport seems to teleport him by y: -5, which means he will "fall" after the teleport attack... Stupidly, the "landing back on ground" frame is the same as "Transform back to Normal form while getting up from lying" frame Fixed that with setting a new frame for lying-get-up

The problem is, the attack T3's ALWAYS target the same enemy... Opointing more = more attacks at the same enemy... Due it are kind:3-attacks that would look really creepy (the enemy would get grapped multiple times within a few frames).
After THIS shadowdrop the enemy will reappear in some distance. That allows the attack T3s to target new enemies... Otherwise the ENTIRE attack would only target one single enemy

If i make it longer, most people will complain "Uhhh, so long moves are boring!". Also i cannot reduce the injury tag below 1, so "longer move"="massively more damage". Due to the atttack can't be blocked and hit everywhere the damage has to be low...
You mean "random attacks" as in the "randomness" of the Ground Shadow? Randomness and LF2 aren't really compatible At least not without HEX

Uhm, the pic looks exactly like my sprite... you changed something?

I won't answer to everything you said, but for the black out... Maybe I understood something wrong.. You can still move, can't you? If yes, then I think its pretty funny when it is a bit longer .
And if randomness isn't possible something like some punches from the darkness would be nice, not permanent damage.
And for the hole. I think the contrasts on my computer are somehow very weird, for me its a very big difference.Well, I can make the same thing a bit brighter.
Now I made it very light, of course a shadow would have to be darker. This isn't how your shadow should look like, just to show what I mean.
Of course it can also be completely dark, but it has to be somehow more interesting.

Yes, you can move and even attack opponents, but i don't think you will really able to do anything (mp is used up with that move and punchign the enemies without seeing them? good luck xD)
and for the permanent-thingy: Maybe you noticed in Sharn, i love this "multiplehitswithinafewseconds" ^^

LOL... yup, that is surely a difference...
If you give me the permission to use that sprites, i could replace the old ones with that in the next update ^^
