Awww.. its a 40 frame char! HALF THE DC IS DONE ALREADY! do you really need more help?

true, but I'm just thinking since the base number of frames is smaller, its easier to code for. (don't have to go through the godddamned 200+ frames and make sure the wpoints, centerx, centery, bdy values are correct... which is the bulk of the tedium in DC in my opinion.)

Plus anyway even Aeron exceeded the 40 frames limit eventually. and the extra moves took very little effort to make.

just tell me ur idea on what peter pan should be doing...

Well your flute idea is quite nice.
Then I think it's a cool idea to make his "jumps" to his flying.

So if he jumps, he is longer in the air, falls slower, dashes farer and... all that.
Like "advanced" air-movement.

He basically is able to be on ground, though only minimal. Only standing, walking & picking up weapons. His advantage is in the air, and only there he can perform his specials.

I don't know if you like that idea, but I think it would also be cool if he has one metal-armoured leg. So if he makes a dash/fly-attack he stretches his foot and hurts the enemies.
Something like that would open some possabilities.

These were my ideas I had right now.

Well, I had the idea of him walking... so that's more additional frames... and i really liked the idea of him picking up items while he's in the air (is that even possible <<in dc work that is... )
I am still confused about the armor...
tell me lauli why armor? You mean like the julian kind?
Not so sure 'bout that...
Peter Pan has just ragged clothing, not so sure if armor would be good on him? <<in dcing terms...not the spriting...

-picking up items in midair: not possible to look nice, though in dc terms, possible to pick up an item wherever you are with the correct frame elements.
-what i think lauli meant by armour is like uhm... strap or band of metal like a piece of armour that peter pan is wearing on his shin maybe so that he can boot people in the face without a sore leg.
-i think the life like one looks better but is more complicated to draw and the disney one is simpler but doesnt look as good. i honestly would make a hybrid mix between the two and see whats best.

Well since you made Peter Pan more life like you should make the lost boys life like so they look good but try to make two different versions and post them.
