But I doubt it will be modified data files because Lobby was not working like 5 seconds after the installation of LF2_v2.0a (You remember the first try after I downloaded it, Chiko?).

blow_fly98 we tried to play a normal game without the lobby and it failed you need to wipe your lf2 files and re-install we will test again with normal lf2 if it works then we can try lobby again

if theres something wrong with the data files theres not much more my lobby can do about it...yet :P

also my recommendation goes towards microsoft's new security program it's cleared a trojan from my computer real time without even needing to restart for those of you experiencing virus issues it may be a good idea to grab a copy (it's free)

update: after trying with blow_fly98 with the new exe a normal game worked fine however the lobby game had the same issue it seems the up button causes the game to crash for some users why it does this i'm not sure yet but will continue investigating it very strange bug

just so u know (randomization issues), up button in the char selection screen goes to the Random char

Really? The up button is what's causing most of the problems of the Lobby (for me). This up button is a weird thing...

how about editing the controls.txt as soon as your position is set?

-look into the controls.txt for the name you signed on with
-move that name and its control settings to the position you are in
-add the names of the other players to their respective position (and your own if it hadnt been found before)

make changing controls and names two single options to turn on and off

jus noticed a (possible) bug: if i play via that lobby, the only weapons that fall from the sky are boomerangs. thats somehow weird

Chiko's restricted all weapon drops to boomerangs.
