the thing is i don't wanna improve the sprites because it's an easy fun char.

then why dont you wanna improve the char?
i thing you should use that old "not hearing method"
just improve the char as best as you can and finish him and release him your way...because if you do members will remember you...you could be one of those unique ones who created a non normal char "angel,skull,....etc"

I don't gave up i just don't have the time to make a char for little childs who just say things like "Take my sprite! it looks so much better than yours"
"Oh yeah take his sprite! and don't do a char. Make it an object!"
"Make it an object. NOW!"

wow, you sure wouldn't be good at making a popular mod like ntsd... we get like 50 different stupid suggestions everyday, we're insulted by thousands of ppls and our stuff on which we worked for years has been leeched all over the internet and was claimed as someone else's
but still...
we're working on it, just simply ignore those peoples, it's your char, YOU can do whatever you want with it... and if you do it different from how somebody wanted you to do it, then he might not like it, but maybe 5 other peoples will like it instead because they think your idea is better
peoples who want it to be different are always posting and making a big fuss about it, but peoples who think it's cool how you do it stay quite and only agree sometimes, this might give you a wrong illusion of how things really are because you only see the peoples complaining, but still, belive me, there are freaking alot more users here who like that thing how you do it, than other ppls who want it to be different

Hacker, you never stated that the sprites are absolute. Also, about the critiquing...

Being totally objective on this one, not euphemizing anything, I must say the following: there are a lot of people around here that haven't reached a level of maturity required to flawlessly participate in a discussion. Actually, over 99% will not be able to do this before their 20th birthday. Maturity grows with time, means that you can't expect everyone to behave completely adequate to the respective situation.

Swearing will definitely not help at all in taking criticism. Instead, it will make the situation worse. It makes you appear rude and you seem to take the advise personally. After all, it's about your work not yourself. Alectric said how he imagines a vending machine to look like. How did you respond? "And i damnit won't take your sprite". See what I mean with swearing? It's really not really gentlemanly.

Just for further information, I myself do appreciate any form of criticism. I don't want to imagine where I would stand at if I had not listened to others that are way more advanced than I am. Probably I'd be where I was over a year ago. But that's not the point. I love getting suggestions for improvement in any kind; afterwards I can still decide if I'll implement it or not. Just saying from the beginning on that you lost interest isn't good for all of us. Not only that your project is going in vain, our comments are also. What's the point of critiquing something that will be abandoned as soon as you propose something better?

There are millions of different personalities and attitudes around the world; I have experienced a few. So, this all might be a giant misunderstanding.

If you want to continue this project, fine. If you don't, also fine. I just don't like to read whining about minor things. That's what I liked about the old forums - the maturity level was way higher. But that's a different story. Do what you want and what you think is right.

As a friend I'm saying this:

Your a great and fun member. You just need to understand the situation ,people only want to help you.

Dude the fact you get insulted easly means you take people criticism way too seriously as insult toward you .That is a common mistake people make, taking criticism as an insult.

They don't mean to insult you. You got to avoid using coarse language and take the criticism lightly.

Even if people do insult you they just showed they don't worth talking to and should be ignore.

You get respect only if you respect others(most importantly below doesn't refer to to that) . You can't swear and expect people to respect you.

Alectric was being kind to you offering to make the sprites for you. I saw a lot people making characters(yinyin&matt with Maveric for example) together because one is a spriter and the other is a dcer.That could seriously save you the time on spriting and help you to focus on the character data. Don't worry dude you will get your credits.Its won't make it less your character.


Do your besting showing your dc skills in this character ,but most importantly try to have fun while creating this character , otherwise you will lose your motivation to make this character .

I actually like the idea of making it a char just like the lawn mower although making it an object is not bad since it's what it really looks like but making it a char is really unique. I also think that there will be no problem for the walking frames. I can imagine seeing it bouncing just like my char, Slime when jumping... There's really no problem with it, really...

Don't get discouraged. You've got a promising char in the works... It's just that every person have different opinions that you should accept as a fact.

It's seemed that there is no problem for the walking frames. And some chair can make it unique because of some might work in that situation. All in all, there's no one can encounter a problem.

Just because someone is offering you help and making constructive criticism does not mean you have to pout, especially in such a sullen manner which makes the majority of the readers think you are behaving in a rather childish manner. When criticism is given, it is given and you can't exactly ask the person to take it back literally. It's a matter of whether you choose to accept the ideas or not or how far you can take it. If you do, then say thanks and implement it when you have time; if you don't, then don't and say why or pretend not to see it, but the last thing you should do is to throw a tantrum.
