I never taken a marathon....but
i'll congratz you on finnishing it to finish line... ;)
allways wanted to go in a marathon but idk if i'd stand the pressure...
especially after what went wrong in Track last year... :|

i know there is a thanks-button.. but THANKS ALOT... i will definitely try to improve next time. (i started too late which training, we decided to run like one month before the actually marathon :p)

cats and bats and rats aside, the best way to train is to run 20 minutes non-stop. By non-stop I mean it i.e. no I-am-tired-so-I-am-going-to-walk-for-a-minute. Then later expand it to 30 minutes

yea i trained like that.. but i guess it was too early for me.. next marathon will be ways better..
probably i will train again next month (my feet hurt like hell and i dunno how i should survive school tomorrow =3 )

When I was in track, the guys for the distance-races were training like this: run 100m normally, sprint 100m, 100m normal, 100m sprint. That about 10-20 times, a short break, and then another 5km run (whereas both the quantity of sprints as well as the distance for the final running was gradually increased each day. It's hard as heck, but obviously quite helpful for them. Yes, I was in the short-distance-team :P
