I rather like the restriction to one week. For a single sprite, that should be enough. I guess quite many simply don't want to try spriting a giant demon( Personally I found it very hard. I had to screw my two first sprites because they were simply awful) On the other hand, however, I'm eager to see what Siegvar can come up with if we extend the deadline.
@LF2TimmE1: That's an awesome sprite you made, I love the details. I wonder whether it would look even better if the transition between body and mist wouldn't be that sharp. Not sure about that though. After all, the handcuffs cover the transition.

Long before the Little Fighters were born, the end of their world had already been decided. The date was set and the executor nominated. But something even the gods hadn't expected occured. Something that should actually never have happened. As the demon Julian arrived to fulfil the godgiven task, a group of fighters opposed him.
After a hard and long fight, Julian was defeated. And the equilibrium of the universe was disrupted. A new demon was sent to restore the order: the harbinger of death. He lead off the fight against the Little Fighters.
Could gods be wrong?

Well, it's taking part that counts. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't be happy about criticism, though. I find it interesting to see how many background stories we have this time btw.

I think the deadline should stay as it is. It's not an official contest and I like to get a new theme to work with every new week. If some people aren't able to finish there entrys they can just skip the current theme and post a sprite when a new contest theme is out.

But of course. In the words of Phil and his speech of self-described assholery (check the original post if you don't believe me :P)

there is no and will never be one sprite out there which is lf2 style.
lf2 styled chars are only made by the original creators.. the other styles are only close or supposed to look different.
let him develope his own style.
