@elias: are you insane? last writing challenge we got 5 participants..now we got 10.. that's +100%
we are doing great, just keep going, you will improve mabye slowly but you will. Just don't give up so easily.

@all of lfe: VOTE!!!

last time: 32 votes
now: 26

we can beat that score too.. GOOO!

@Ramond : http://www.lf-empire.de/forum/showthread.php?tid=3113 , check your memory please :p

Getting sore isn't going to help you get better Elias. You do understand
that every story someone else writes gives you chance to improve yeah?

This contest is indeed interesting, Reaper's is just ahead of mine, while
everyone else's really is close behind. ^^

The potential is still there for even those with one vote to pull ahead,
which I personally think is awesome. :D

It seems that the writing challenges got the least voters and/or participants. Spriting, is more visualised and some people don't like reading. They like graphics and drawings more...
Someone Wrote:A picture describes more than 1000 words.
HELL YEAH!
snorsobet Wrote:It's because writing takes a lot more effort, and as you should know by now, LFE isn't really full of working ants
SERIOUSLY, I HAVE to agree with you.

@People who tell me to cheer up: I'm not sore I'm happy. For real I like to lose some contest at what I'm good at, or like to do, and yes more I write more I improve. Also I need to thank for writing about war because it gave me inspiration. So I'm totally good, I didn't spent a lot, and in my opinion the beginnings were to simple, and yet limited, so yeah I didn't put to much effort.
Also I liked how you said Phil

I'm going to vote for Magnamcy, his was nice and descriptive.
I can't believe I had a similar thing happening in my story in the beginning, really I just read his title and thought 'oh, war that is perfect.'

Also are we going to continue the Forum Novel, it stopped and almost a year ago.
I am back, not really.

^I somehow wonder what the alternative to war would have been in the second beginning...

And no, we won't continue the forum novel. Mainly due to the fact that
- it has stopped way too long ago
- we got stuck( really, I've got at least a bit experience with internet novels, and many stop quite shortly after the fighting started because it somewhen begins to be fight->couldn't defeat evil-->go somewhere-->fight-->start cycle again.)
- Some of the ones partcipiating in there aren't here anymore.

Anyway, as this contest has ended, I can focus a bit more on the story section again and it might be that I come up with something the next weeks

Just being curious. What was too simple and restrictive about the beginnings? I mean, they have to be restrictive in a way, but I actually thought that there was less enough revealed to enable many possible stories. Just so that I can make it better next time.

Btw: If you want some suggestions for your story: There are some weird things about your sentence structure sometimes, but as I noticed how it's improving over time, I'm not gonna list those things. However, there are two things you really should have an eye on:
- Question marks?!! It really sounds weird without.
- Overpowerdness. Seriously, if somebody uses a trick to kill a bigger group of people, that's ok, but if he kills another 400! afterwards, it just isn't realistic. that seems to be a general problem with this guy, Manji and the like.
Still, as I said, I can see your improvement over time and I'm confident that you'll make a very good story for the next contest if you spent a bit more effort.

Btw: Argh! 7:7!!! How long is the voting phase going to last btw? Suspense is killing me.

Reaper wrote such a good story... You all guys did, but somehow Reaper's story is inspiring the most. So I gave my vote to him

Man, I actually did it. And that without Phil bothering, haha :P

Alright, during the reading, I took some notes. Pretty much written for myself, but it might serve as some sort of legitimation for my voting-decision. Kinda straight to the point, if I may say so:

dubbleD: kinda psychic, only at the end it starts clearing up, the stuff before is relatively confusing
Hacker: “Well played Victor… Well played”, Robert said holding the Knife he dropped before in his Hand. -- what? confusing and open-ended.
Gad: evasive, the "jokes" do not fit to the beginning, serious grammar-issues
Elias: massive spelling-mistakes, "the rider got out of his horse" -- must be painful for the horse, "and to cock food" -- no comment, also didn't finish the story
Reaper: adequate choice of words, building up tension flawlessly, round characters --------- vote
Wiro: how the hell do you stab yourself when carrying a sword? random events, depicting situation ludicrously
Magnamancy: convincing, "phantasmic realistic", round character ---------- vote
Taniaetc: surprising course of events, yet executed quite well ---------- vote
Phil: good execution, minor orthography-mistakes ----------- vote
forgetlatios: comments in story=bad, atypical story-line

Yes, I was paying attention to those that actually brought their story to an end. I am aware that it just said "continue the story"; however, a continuation stopping right at the climax is not what I was looking for.

We should make it a bit longer... some people are in their final year exams and got no time for voting... so yes.
