On a first glance, the char is looking almost identical to Davis. Everything below his head is, in fact, Davis (thanks, Cpt. Obvious), while Bat's hair shows close resemblance to him as well. I guess you should make a difference between who you are and who you think you are. This is the primary question you should ask yourself before even starting to sprite.
But really, switching a few colors does make a difference. A green shirt, blonde hair, and the char looks entirely different. Takes maybe 20 seconds to apply such an adjustment. If you really not want to add anything else, that is.

what i'm wondering now is how come i can't add a few kicks here and there, sprite some new attacks and etc... if you guys keep pestering me i'll go recolour it or something...

im highly dubious tht u look like him, anyways...
anyways it would be better if u made it by hand even if it's copy and paste...u should change things here and there to make it yours...
BP is right however it's ur sprite, we are tryin to help u...take it and do somethin about it...

...kays then, i'll go with the old way i did it, like how i did the bat- drawover thingie. oh and it looks kinda like me, i wear white tee and blue jacket ta school and everyone says my hairs messy- then they touch it. its irritating. D: and my blackmail wore off so now i have one touching it again... >.>

1) yea i look like a nerd but
2) i can sprint when i uhh... its hard to explain but some times i'm just really fast
3) i'm fitter than most of my friends
4) i actually go for break unlike half the guys who stay in class and play lf
5) i have a damn deep voice- i sound freaky with that voice

how's this one? (whoops realised theres a little mistake in that vest- gonna fix it
may add more, i want a balanced fighter, he's gonna use kicks, punches, and have cool far range attacks

I think the long vest is waaaaayyyy to high up, look like his neck is crouching and all...
the shirt is nicely re-colored...
dude u need to fix the link, also if u had paint all u could have done was rotate it...

u don't look tht bad...though u need to stop copy and pasting, they could help if u plan on doing them as stances...
though u should proboally start by hand instead of C&P
whut i'd recomend is go on GIMP, or PhotoShop (either on will work int his case)
open your sprite (that is C&P)
and open a new layer, basically start a new but trace over the outline of the figure...
make sure the other layer is half way or 3/4 visible then work ur magic (if u have any...tht is?)

probably not, but meh, i'm more of an all-rounder
and i'm still trying to figure out how to draw a hand on top of the char- now i'm stuck at that. D:
