1) DO NOT PM ME
2) Go read up on anatomy and proportions online. (google is your best friend)
3) Go read up on pencil sketching-shading.
4) Practice by making FULL character sheets. (Refer to bases and references if you have to, occasionally try doing things from scratch. You have to mix both methods; bases and without.)
5) DO NOT be an arrogant, self-righteous prick when people try to give useful critiques, and ignore the ones who are flaming idiots. (Flaming them back makes you one of them.)
6) Repeat steps 2 to 5 until you're happy, or you think you're good, then start sharing your knowledge with your fellow spriters.
7) Showcase your sprites. At first, do not be discouraged when you don't get any critiques, or lousy/generic critiques. Continue practicing and showcasing your work. With more sprites, it will be clearer what your strengths and weaknesses are, and people may be better able to give you better critique.
Lastly, if you think saying all this makes me an arrogant, self-righteous prick who is too selfish to share his knowledge...
Then I say you cannot recognise wisdom when I've just slapped you in the face with it. (Also, those steps are the same steps I used to get to where I am, I don't know any way else to truly learn.)
Unless you think its worth my time, go F*** yourselves. I'm not going to bother to even reply to PMs like "can you help me make this character?" anymore.

@PF:
Meh, a couple more months and I'll be a regular civilian again. In the mean time, it just sucks.
@Sonic Boom:
There's a looooong story behind it, but essentially its a different version.

Looking at the animations, some look a little sharper than others. Other than that, it's like trying to get fine gold even more pure; it just doesn't work
Really, the character is one of the (if not) best sprited ones I have seen. Anymore edits in the already created frames would probably ruin it.

If you pay attention... I -have- ruined it in a dozen places. lol. All in the name of perfection. Plus I think having my sprites under heavy scrutiny for this long has revealed too many flaws in my skill.... now its hard to impress ppl with this. bleh.
And unlike when I first started this project... there are now tons of individual sprites by the likes of Apoc and Luti that far surpass the quality I've set forth in Frozen... and that annoys me just a little.
When I started this... I was motivated by the thought and goal: "If I complete this... this will be a character with sprites so retardedly good it can compare to even the best of single frame sprites that aren't full characters!"
And of course... that fed my ego and motivation like a king's feast. lol.
And now.. my ego is deflated... and I'm hungry. and hungry men can't work.
Anyway, now I just want to finish this fast.

A noble goal, yet unreachable. People spend up to multiple hours on one single frame, whilst you will have to create over a hundred of sprites and maintaining the quality-level of the others. Sure, it is possible, but only if you are ready to spend the next two years working on Frozen non-stop.
In general, I would not compare a full character with a single sprite -- especially considering the discrepancy of work invested in those two. See them as different entities; compare Frozen to other completed characters and compare single sprites to other single sprites. Intermixing them is not bringing you further but rather demotivating if you maintain that standard.
I think, you have pushed the quality to a level that is way more than acceptable; the amount of detail is surpassing many other characters, and so is the general design. How could you improve this character if there is nothing to improve on? Adding anymore details would, most likely, ruin the overall design. You have taken one direction and you should keep that for the rest of the sheets. Editing the already-created sprites now would be just a task you will later regret, considering that the design is fixed (and, if I may add, looking great).

A nice sprite, I'm waiting for the update to come soon.
This place motivates me to become an artist, this place motivates me to learn coding, this place made me grow up, showed me the ways to interact with people. Unlike the old childish of me myself, I've learned a lot and gotten some experiences. For me, it's not just a fan forum, it's a helpful community. From a noob to someone who would think before he speaks, looking back at my old post made me laugh hard, I'm grateful of the differences between these 2 years.

Awesome spriting and animation!
Love the cape movement in the running attack

Probably, though considering the thread itself is more of a showcase of the characters' sprites than anythingelse.. it works out here too...
Plus I feel more at home in the sprites forum? lol.
Consider it a sprite first, then a character project second.
