[solved] lf2 mod Very slow.
#1
My mod is on lf2 2.0a version.
it runs extremely slow with every computer.I have to close every thing (MSN,Yahoo, webpages). for it to run normal.
so my question is:
what are the factors that makes the game run slow?

Thanks .

you probably made it too big... you stuffed it with so many things that it takes a while to process it all... think thats the problem... :ninjad:

it has 9 chars, 1 stage, a weapon and 21 ball.
that's all.
So I don't think that is the problem.

Your low computer parameters (RAM).
How much is your RAM?

Also 2.0a is loaded slower then 1.9(c) because it load mirror images too and so it needs more time.

This slow game happen to me too sometimes. When computer stay for a long time turned on,it gets "tired" and so make the game slow.

@v
you computer parameters are good.Maybe you have a lot of programs in it and have not so much space in HDD.Or else I don't know.

1- that happens even when I just open my computer.
2- My computer parameters
are:
processor: Intel core 2 Duo 2.93 GHz(2 cpu's)
ram: 2 GB
display: internal geforce 7100/nforce 630i with a memory of 512 mb.
that's it.

What about your Hard drive. Is it full?(Or almost full?)
This place motivates me to become an artist, this place motivates me to learn coding, this place made me grow up, showed me the ways to interact with people. Unlike the old childish of me myself, I've learned a lot and gotten some experiences. For me, it's not just a fan forum, it's a helpful community. From a noob to someone who would think before he speaks, looking back at my old post made me laugh hard, I'm grateful of the differences between these 2 years.

I remember having had spontaneous lags on my computer as well. Often times, it was down to ~10 fps. I never really could get around what exactly has been causing this, but this problem disappeared as quick as it came.

The most common source of lags (when no other applications are running, especially no virus-scanners as those are CPU-hogs) is having very large sprites (about screen-filling-size) being displayed. Is this something that could be applied to your case? Also, what is your operating system?

that's very sensible, my sprites are 1590*4800.
But R U sure I don't really want to mess up with my sprites when it is not the problem.
Please reply.
My os is Xp sp3.
