Hello dear lf2 players,
I am intending to organize a worldwide lf2 tournament, before the release of remastered version, just for funny (and to see the best players XD). We all know that is very hard to all of us to be online at the same time. Thinking about that, I see that the easiest format is "play offs", where each two players have an one week deadline to play the matches against each other (each game will be a set of 6 matches with random characters, following the rules below).
If some player cannot play within that period, the match will be W.O. for the other.
If you want to subscribe this tournament, please, post here your NICKNAME, your COUNTRY, and the YEAR you started playing lf2.
I will make the randomization (draw) when there is a minimum number of players (I think at least 16).
Just remembering that, as this is going to be a worldwide tournament, lag will be present in most games. So, if you don't like to play with lag or have never played with lag, it is not recommended to join the tournament, to avoid possible disappointment.
Here are the rules (any suggestions, you could post here too):
GENERAL RULES:
1) BACKGROUND: HK Colosseum
2) NO DRINKING Milk/Beer.
3) No Cheats Allowed. (lf2.net / F5-F9)
4) No infinite stunlock combos. Up to x1 stun/walljuggle extension allowed.
A game between two players must follow this structure:
1st match: Random vs Random.
2nd match: Players choose the characters their opponents played in the 1st match (character inversion).
3rd match: Random vs Random (with different characters from previous matches).
4th match: Players choose the characters their opponents played in the 3rd match (character inversion).
5th match: Random vs Random (with different characters from previous matches).
6th match: Players choose the characters their opponents played in the 5th match (character inversion).
If there is a tie in the results (3 to 3), players must play one more match:
Armageddon match: Template vs Template.
(or Random vs Random again if both players agree).
Hint: Only the game hoster will be able to control the menu (to avoid some mistakes);
After each battle, it is necessary to wait for the closing screen with the fight score (F4 is not allowed).
For the purpose of proving the battles carried out, the following can be used:
• Screenshots of the fight score at the end; or
• Recordings .lfr files; or
• Confirmation by the loser one posting here in this thread.
