Still, you can't get better than lf2. Data changing is simplier than basic Python stuffs in my opinion. It's really that simple.

Well I don't get this topic in a way coz:
1. There isn't going to be any LF3. 2. HFX is like LF3, it has almost the same mechanics as LF2 and improved in every way. That's pretty much what a new version of LF2 would be like. Also HFX is a pretty fun game, a better time killer than LF2. It's already quite successful in the Playstore so I believe Marti would probably create more games now.

Indeed HF is the same as LF3 would be, just replace characters, and we got LF3 and not HF.

But, IDK why, I like the LF2 graphics more than that of HF, maybe, I like Non-HQ stuff more.
I think the characters that are small in LF2 is of my taste. In HF, they got bigger, like Davis became Drew, Deep became Lucas, Henry became Shawn etc... Even I don't know the exact thing.

I am sorry for gravedigging, but it's a relevant now that we really should get to do this.

LF2 has allowed me to create what I couldn't when I was younger. I probably wouldn't have gotten into LF2 at all if it wasn't for that. You have already option to change .exe, sprites, DC, AI... only thing you may ask is to remove limitations in terms of quantity of characters you can put into game and in terms of frames capacity in .dat file. Other than that you can do whatever you want with game. @Marko (Click to View) (08-21-2015, 10:21 AM)Marko Wrote: Data changing is simplier than basic Python stuffs in my opinion. We've discussed this for a bit in @Sänger 's personal sprites thread, and these are some important posts that has been made there: (11-29-2015, 01:20 AM)Sänger Wrote: I can give you some reasons why making such dream would be impossible. The thing about motivation and life's surprising turns of events will be best addressed if such a project becomes a community project instead of one of a team. What I mean is, progress and actual files of the project can lay publicly in a forum thread or/and in an open repository and everyone can participate. Decisions of the game can be discussed and are made by all of us (polls). Spriters can do work, whether they work on a grunt or an item or even inbetweens of keyframes made by the other. Artists can work on concept art and backgrounds. Composers and sound makers can work on sound effects and remixes/brand new music (perhaps themes for our heroes!) So yes, what do you guys think of using the A-Engine for this? @klodasmone if you may kindly start an anon poll for this? A-Engine: A new beat em up game engine inspired by LF2. Modifying LF2 was never 100% safe to begin with. Check this out: http://www.lf-empire.de/forum/showthread.php?tid=9294
It's going to be a fan game, and it's not like anyone will be making any profit from this. The worst I can think of that can happen is a cease and desist order. A-Engine: A new beat em up game engine inspired by LF2. Coming soon A-Engine Dev Blog - Update #8: Timeout Thanks given by: AmadisLFE
