and left hand is to close to body and it looks like he have strange arm
yeah in the right arm i noticed later i need to put more visible muscle.
but the hand is not too close to the body actually i just wanted to give it that "3D" thing.

fixed the muscle and updated a bit the hair
and made his left (our right) leg thinner to give it more "3D" look.

I guess you mean scratch, anyways, good sprite.
Pants' shading is little too simple imo preferred to other parts.
Might be back, might be not :^) anyways awesome to see you guys again!

Maybe he meant "sketch", but I'm not sure, since there's no such thing as "full" sketch or scratch. The most appropriate wording would be "completely from scratch". In either case, this is not an English literature site.
About the sprite itself: the face is way too small, the shoes and pants are shaded too simplistically, the pose would be better, if his left arm would touch his nose, as if in arrogance and contempt for the opponent. Otherwise, I like how ripped he is and the design is quite manly, the beard and everything.

Pants' shading is little too simple imo preferred to other parts. yeah right, like yours sprites pants not simple. tell me. what is it with you and insulting people's sprites when they're only pointing out what they can see? Where in Whaat's post did he say that his sprite was better? where did he even imply it?
If there is a person.. who can't sprite... but has eyes sharper than anyone else around... able to spot flaws in sprites no one else can.. does that make his critique invalid? "yea right, like you can sprite at all."
If people like Marshall, YinYin, or Blue Phoenix gives some critiques would you say the same thing about them? "yea right, as if you guys can sprite at all."
If you think the pants are detailed enough. just say so. Why must you insist on interfering with other people's critiques?
At least your critiques of the actual sprite in question are still sensible. But you're treading a fine line here... be mindful of that. You got banned once for these reasons already... don't be careless and end up getting banned again. It may be a bit of a loss... but its not much. The gains are probably greater. It is probably only out of the kindness of the moderators' hearts... willing to try and let you learn your lesson... that you're still here. Don't push your luck and assume that just because you're not banned yet your actions are being condoned.

My stuff:

1) DO NOT PM ME
2) Go read up on anatomy and proportions online. (google is your best friend)
3) Go read up on pencil sketching-shading.
4) Practice by making FULL character sheets. (Refer to bases and references if you have to, occasionally try doing things from scratch. You have to mix both methods; bases and without.)
5) DO NOT be an arrogant, self-righteous prick when people try to give useful critiques, and ignore the ones who are flaming idiots. (Flaming them back makes you one of them.)
6) Repeat steps 2 to 5 until you're happy, or you think you're good, then start sharing your knowledge with your fellow spriters.
7) Showcase your sprites. At first, do not be discouraged when you don't get any critiques, or lousy/generic critiques. Continue practicing and showcasing your work. With more sprites, it will be clearer what your strengths and weaknesses are, and people may be better able to give you better critique.
Lastly, if you think saying all this makes me an arrogant, self-righteous prick who is too selfish to share his knowledge...
Then I say you cannot recognise wisdom when I've just slapped you in the face with it. (Also, those steps are the same steps I used to get to where I am, I don't know any way else to truly learn.)
Unless you think its worth my time, go F*** yourselves. I'm not going to bother to even reply to PMs like "can you help me make this character?" anymore.

Yes, i'm feeling very insulted since i don't understand why did you even say anything about my sprites at Xlilbob's sprite thread?

And back to sprite:
Unlike Monolith, i don't like his hair, even when it's nice shaped, it's shading is way too light and hardly visible.
Might be back, might be not :^) anyways awesome to see you guys again!
