Chase Ball

Hi guys, Today i finally started learning the basics of DC. And, i got all the basics (Thanks to Simoneon for his tutorials :)). And i edited Davis's ball.

I converted it into a chase ball, but the problem is:-
1. It sticks too close to the ground.
2. When the enemy is killed, it does not goes out of the stage, it instead, sticks to the upper part and the lower part of the stage and some in the middle and after sticking they move too slowly, just like hindering.

Try including hit_d, the number should be the frame that the ball should go to should it find no one to home after. For this frame, consider using hit_Fa: 10 like John's energy disc.

If you don't want your ball to be homing forever, put a number in hit_a (reduce ball's hp by number in hit_a overtime, balls have 500hp. This hp is used strictly as a timer.).

I'm not too sure about the y-axis issue though, but if you don't want a ball to follow someone on the y-axis at all, you can try using hit_Fa: 3 instead of 1.

my bet is, those that stick to the upper and lower part of the map, are from frames 50 to 69...these have hit_j values.
hit_j moves the ball toward the upper or lower part of the map.
hit_j 49 moves it up, hit_j 51 moves it down.
so you should just remove hit_j
back from the dead.....kinda

how bout you take a new davis_ball and start again?
try adding hit_Fa to frames 0-9, 50-69
and change the hit_j from 50-69 into hit_j: 0
back from the dead.....kinda

I think you accidentally copied the data wrongly when pasting on that post, but anyway...

Looking at the first ball (0-9), I don't think there's any problem as far as I'm concerned.
The other ball frames, dflying & uflying, have no hit_j or hit_Fa in them, so they just fly straight without any homing.

Also, check your Davis data. When he spawns balls, his first ball spawns frame 0, but the next two ball shots will be up or down shots instead of the frame 0 balls.


EDIT:
I don't know how you want to make Davis' balls homing though, so I can't pinpoint what exactly you should do to fix. Do you want to:
1) Make all Davis balls homing and can turn backwards?
2) Make all Davis balls homing but can only move forward?
3) Make Davis shoot balls center, up, down before the balls become homing?
