I'm no expert myself, but u should try working a bit with values I guess. It should get lighter in the bg. right now everything looks really saturated which makes it hard to figure out how deep the pic is or rather how far stuff is away. When drawing landscapes or sceneries thats quite important to get a better 3dimensional feeling. I think thats also the reason why the characters look like giants right now.

As I said I have too less experience in this are tho, Blue Phoenix should be able to give some decent tipps tho :)

Not the an perfect example, but I just watched this video. Skip to 7:20 to see what I mean. He splits the image into different layers and uses different values for each accordingly.

My few crits would be that the bicep muscles are larger, it looks fine in his left arm but in his right arm it's very short. And that the knuckles in his hand. Index finger's knuckle is not the biggest, it is the middle finger..
that's it actually, its very neat otherwise! :D keep it up!
(what's up with the quote lol)

Design is good overall! But you should really add more shading layers! :D
The hair for example is only using one colour. The skin shading is barely visible. The clothes have only 2 layers of shading. You should have at least 3 layers of shading for all the parts. :)

Wrong! Even if he's in the sky the sun is much above the earth. That means that the light should be high and put a shade on the whole bottom surfaces. Since the char is flying forward his whole front, chest, face should be covered in shadows

That really depends on the light source... The sun might be rising or setting up. So it is totally possible that the light hits him from that angle. Still I admit just using flat colours doesn't look too good. Thinking

Edit: Now that I look at the shading in the clouds, the sun seems to come from the right. So the shading in the character doesn't comply with the shading in the clouds.

If sun would be rising, sky would be different.
