whew... finally done reading through everything... allrighty
first things first... is it possible for me to transfer that one skillpoint sirfrog put into Holy Bolt to Dark Bolt instead... I actually planned on my character to have offensive dark spells only and holy spells for healing, obviously SF could not have known that so i'd still like to change it and I don't think it would have made much of a difference if I had gone Dark Bolt from the begining since there were no battles (except the skeleton dummies) yet
and as for the actuall story... I agree on Group A and B rejoining and taking on the bandits...
Positioning like this should be alright
|--4---3---2---1--| |--1---2---3---4--|
a Nav Ian Dra Ste : : --- --- --- --- a
b Bam --- Blu Sim : : --- --- --- --- b
|-----------------| |-----------------|
also, I noticed Blue Phoenix and Simon should be extremly efficient in the same row, they both have a lot of displacement abilities to change their positions, combined with strong abilities at Position 1 and retreating ones to get into the backline... and if I learned anything from playing Darkest Dungeon (on which this combat system is based on I guess) this should be the most efficient way of setting up our members...
another idea we could consider is to simply scare of those bandits without actually harming them... they seem to be simple bandits that could be quite intimidated by dark magic, both me and Ian could randomly cast some scary looking spells and hope for them to retreat? ...just an idea though
I mean if I was a member of a group of bandits, stealing money from random travelers, and probably haven't seen alot of magic in my life, especially not the forbidden arts of necromancy and then suddenly that one group turns on us summoning skeletons and stuff I'd sh*t my pants for sure

I think combining War Cry with Skeleton Summon and Dark Bolt should be enough to scare them without hurting them and earn us some positive Alignment points... still fighting grants experience, we cannot miss to much of that because we have to save the world eventually... so we should not avoid every fight for the sake of beeing "good", those bandits deserve a beating either way
