- The game takes place in a medieval-fantasy setting. The anti-town fraction are Werewolves.
- The Werewolves are not considered own roles. They simply have the anti-town alignment along with their role.
- When a person is killed, his role is revealed, but his alignment (town or werewolf) is not.
- Werewolves are allowed to target themselves, except if there's only one left.
- The initial Werewolf:Town ratio in the game is known.
- The distribution of roles in the game is unknown.
- Every player will have one of the five roles listed below.
- Current list of roles with their abilities known to public.
- All of the following abilities may not be used on the same person two consecutive times. Also, their usage is completely optional.
- Knight (Town): Protects another player during the night.
- Knight (Werewolf): Blocks another player's ability during the night.
- Scout: Checks a player's exact role.
- Bard: Assigns a lynch vote to a player for the next day. He can choose for it to be public or secret until the end of day.
- Occultist: Resurrects another player for the next day without abilities.
- Inquisitor (Town): Checks a player's alignment (includes dead players).
- Inquisitor (Werewolf): Gives a Town-player a Werewolf-alignment or a Werewolf-player a Town alignment during the night. May target himself.
- Ghost talk is enabled. That includes private conversations.
- Private talk is allowed.
- I will post PM templates of all the roles here after they've been settled to defuse PM role faking.
- Technically, faking screenshots of PMs by others or the game master is allowed. As general advice, don't trust screenshots or quotes at all.
- When a night victim survives, neither will his name be published nor will he get any notion of it.
- Werewolf to Town start ratio is 3:8.
- Order of abilities applied: Knight (Werewolf) > Knight (Town), Bard > Werewolf Kill > Inquisitor (Werewolf) > Scout, Inquisitor (Town), Occultist
Knight Wrote:Greetings, Ramond. In this story of horror and woe, you represent a noble Knight. It is your duty to protect the innocent lives of the villagers from the werewolves that roam within, giving them an opportunity to live another day.
Each night round, you may PM me the name of another player. He will be protected from the werewolves that night. However, you cannot protect the same person two nights in a row.
Good luck. Occultist Wrote:Greetings, Ramond. In this story of horror and woe, you represent a shady Occultist. It is your duty to bring the victims of the werewolves back to temporary life, giving them a chance to avenge their meaningless deaths.
Each night round, you may PM me the name of another dead player. He will get his lynch vote back for the next day. However, you cannot resurrect the same person two nights in a row.
Good luck. Bard Wrote:Greetings, Ramond. In this story of horror and woe, you represent an eloquent Bard. It is your duty to direct the villagers' attention toward the real culprits of the night and persuade them of their guilt.
Each night round, you may PM me the name of another player. He will start the next day with an additional lynch vote on him, of which you can choose whether it should be publicly shown on the Lynch Board or not. However, you cannot infamize the same person two nights in a row.
Good luck. Inquisitor Wrote:Greetings, Ramond. In this story of horror and woe, you represent a merciless Inquisitor. It is your duty to identify the hosts of the dreaded Werewolf plague, to rot out this monstrous clan that has taken root inside this peaceful village.
Each night round, you may PM me the name of another player. You will then perform a sacred ritual to determine that player's lineage; werewolf or not. However, you cannot test the same person two nights in a row.
Good luck. Scout Wrote:Greetings, Ramond. In this story of horror and woe, you represent a vigilant Scout. It is your duty to learn the truth behind the other villagers' masks, to learn of their capabilities and abilities.
Each night round, you may PM me the name of another player. You will then scrounge through his personal belongings to determine that player's role.
Good luck.
Night 0
Let me indulge in a blood-curdling story,
a tale full of horrors, betrayal and glory.
A village so peaceful and pleasant within
would soon learn to doubt and deceive their own kin.
Eleven remained, of whom tainted were three,
they made it their goal for to set their souls free.
But who were the cursed? This no one could guess,
thus marked the beginning of barbarous chess.

To clarify, since this has indirectly popped up a couple times:
Everybody has one of the five roles that were described in the first post.
No vanilla townies/citizens, akin to RaMafia 1.

Question!
Quote:When a person is killed, his role is revealed, but his alignment (town or werewolf) is not.
Quote:Inquisitor (Werewolf): Gives a Town-player a Werewolf-alignment or a Werewolf-player a Town alignment during the night. May target himself.
How would that ability be useful if we have no way to learn of someone's alignment?

The initial Werewolf:Town ratio in the game is known. ratio is given every night or only at the beginning? coz if it is given every night we will understand the alignment of the player!
@aman
inquisitor town checks alignment
