sorry to revive this topic again, but i have a frustrating problem on my hands, and i have spent the last hour trying to figure it out.
how can you make balls on the z-axis?
is it the opoint?
i cant find a way to create balls on the z-axis (from the player)
WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN?!?!?!

there's no way to CREATE them directly on zaxis, but you can move them on zaxis with hit_j.
hit_j: 50 is no movement, same as 0, but 51 and 49 make him move slowly, 52 and 48 a bit faster...
check out davis_ball and you see it...

u can check my char, the D>A move when it catches the cards move towards the middle in a hexagonal way. (invisible objects move to the right position before they become visible and have itrs and bdys)
