no way, then the mafia would get the upperhand. Frustrating as it is we still provide information one way or the other all you guys have to do is decipher our intentions and the validity to our claims to see who is lieing or not.

Okay here's the honest truth. Yes I did. I did it 3x in fact. Once to A-Man, mfc, and Rhino. All three of them are innocent and telling the truth. When you're close to dieing you tend to spill the beans. HellBlazer has confined in me as well as A-Man and mfc about his identity. He tried to do that with Rhino but decided to quickly change it because he wasn't too sure if he could be trusted. A-Man forgave me as i would have done that to any of you guys so he decided to go with my plan to frame rhino on irc chat. Pf didn't look closely as A-Man used a different ip than the one provided for you in the screenshot. I wasn't just doing this all for the lolz, although i do admit it was amusing to conspire against him there was still some valid reasons for this elaborate hoax to look legitimate. We were both looking to see rhino's response as well as to see who said what. I was going to hold off until the next day but i think it would be appropriate if i laid all my cards on the table in order for this to work. HellBlazer is really worried he's going to die very very soon because Rhino mentioned his role to MangaD. MangaD gave rhino false information about him being the doctor. While A-Man isn't 100% certain about MangaD, i don't see why a fellow teammate would do this to Rhino.

What happened with the "let's wait for the Sheriff confirmation" strategy?

wanted to do that initially but like you said before its not really fun having townie's just wait around all day with nothing to do. plus now that i'm a little bit more confident with who i had conversed with over these past few days im okay changing my vote.

I can't speak for everyone but when I have have a boring role (i.e townie) i tend to do more risky actions because its more fun that way. I don't particularly care if i die as long as our team wins thats cool by me. If i have an important role i might play a little bit more seriously with less risky behavior like you. maybe you have an important role to play in this game?

How do you know that Hellblazer is the Sheriff?

I can't be 100% certain but it seems reasonable to assume that he can be trusted. He already checked to see if i was a mafia member and thank goodness too otherwise i wouldn't have known he was the sheriff.

He also checked empirefantasy, and obviously mfc and a-man are dead.

Private discussion between players outside of the thread is allowed.
Sending copies, screenshots or quotes of any sensitive information provided by me (Ramond) is forbidden in any way.
Voting for no-kill is allowed.
Night talk is allowed.
Ghost talk is allowed, but under the condition that no information that was gained outside of the public posts may be used in any way, especially not as a PM to other players.
Participants who are dead are not allowed to have private discussions about the ongoing game.
Consequently, participants who are alive are not allowed to have private discussions with dead players about the ongoing game in any way.

If any of the above rules are broken, the opposite fraction of the rulebreaker wins the game immediately, so I will also ask players to be fair and report to me if somebody breaks a rule. That hopefully ensures nobody will even try to cheat.

I don't know what to say to be completely honest. But first I'll shout at the top of my lungs "I WASN'T LYING SEEE!!!!"

But I have read Luti's posts a couple of times and they do make some sense to me.

The way Hellblazer talked to me, I could sort of sense that he's not lying about being a sheriff, and if he has been talking with you privately, I have to believe you're not a mafia.

For now, I'll go no kill even though I want to lynch MangaD sort of. But I really want Hellblazer to post here!

This is basically what happened. I told Rhino I was the doc, so Mafia couldn't kill me because I'd save myself. I think I was a very likely target for the mafia, so Pf dying instead of me lifts a lot of suspicions here. Why wasn't I targeted? Because they really thought I was the doc. Getting no kill would be pointless.

If you are killed because you gave false information about being the Sheriff, it would be supported by probabilities (1/7), but in your case, there were (6/7) chances of you not being killed.

If Hellblazer really was the sheriff, and if he did actually communicate with Luti as he claims, what do you expect to hear from him, now that you're already seeing his messenger being this indecisive?

On the contrary, why the sudden change in heart mfc? Why the sudden change of vote MangaD? Everyone is just beating around the bush while the mafia are doing their killings guaranteed in the night phase.

I just checked the mafia simulation script I wrote the other day, and it appears there was one missing line I should've written to make it work as it should. That line was what's responsible for the bizarre result that a strategy of lynching randomly at every phase would produce the same number of wins as waiting until later before starting to lynch anyone. So I added the line, and these are the FACTS:

i'm laughing.

I'm still voting for mangaD because i'm pretty darn sure that both him and rhino are not in the same group. So i needed to decide which of the two i was going to frame. Rhino seemed like an easy target and he was mentioned already by mangaD so im sure the mob mentality would be easy to win over if my post looked legitimate. Rhino didn't confess anything other than him telling the truth even though we were pretty much going to kill him. i grew hesitant to think that there was nothing else for him to say and this led me to believe he's a townie.

now as for inactivity. both apoc and i decided maaaaybe amadis is innocent? after all who would pass off the opportunity to not care about his role like that. (barely logging in) If it was some role which could be easily attainable like townie and he was busy im sure i could understand why he chose to prioritize and not post. Apoc mentioned mafia's were known to be silent but he's just being pretty blatant about not posting here or even showing up on lfe.

Even if i was busy and found out i had an important role to play i would try to get some time in here. So its likely for him to be just a regular townie.

Also something alarming i didn't mention which im sure some of you picked up on. Why did Luti post right after MangaD voted for no-kill.... pretty suspicious huh?

well first off i already kinda knew rhino was innocent and 4 people were already voting for him. i didn't suddenly want to switch my vote especially being the one who accused him and causing all this to happen. I needed more time. So when i saw that mangaD switched to no-kill i was glad. Voting no-kill almost tied the vote that rhino had placed on me which would have extended the deadline for me to think about this.

I don't know why MangaD voted for no-kill but i had no time to think as i saw an opportunity to stall ramond and give myself the time i needed to assess the damage.

Okay. For the sake of transparency and because I'm frankly not really enjoying myself, I'm going to post everything I thought about on this mafia thread, what I can remember at least. Some quick info - I'm basically always on IRC after a certain time of the day.

First real mafia game, I had no idea what to do. I was on irc with MangaD and Pf, can't remember if there were others. Manga insisted I use my mod powers to scout out the invisible people. I said no, citing privacy as a throwaway excuse. In reality, I'm thinking that its always the same few people who use invisibility since before the game which makes the info pointless(not to mention not everyone logs in at the same time etc), and because it need not necessarily be just mafia who use the PM system. Regardless, I was just not willing to provide that kind of info to anyone, especially not this early in the game.

First post after Jers died - there isn't any info available other than the fact a thug died. I didn't know what to do, so I acted like a clown. I posted that A-Man was quick for vote for Amadis for mayor and so I randomly accused him since he was among the first few to post, but it was never a serious accusation. Then Manga seemed to be putting pressure on getting me lynched. After a few other posts, I decided to drop the act, but I still voted Manga as mayor on a whim. In any case I thought of being passive since I've no idea what's going on, and maybe it'd be good if I behaved in a way that made it seem I could be a thug.

Then the whole fake PM thing came about. What a bloody mess, all I could get out of it is that A-Man lied about who had PM'd him, so I decided to lynch him. That kinda became my modus operandi - I'd lynch whoever is lying. mfc did send me a threatening PM titled "WOW", contents "I will kill you in your sleep ", but I simply replied "Kay." and paid no attention to it. I think around this time on irc, MnM said that he didn't play the game outside of the thread, and expressed he didn't like the game.

Turns out A-Man was innocent. Then Pf got killed by mafia the 2nd night. I voted no-kill because it seemed like everything I thought I knew was wrong and I agreed maybe its better to let the cop do something, and I also made a crappy attempt to get Mafia to kill me. Then mfc died and turned out to be a citizen.

I would've remained passive and maybe lynched Manga until Luti posted the screenshots of Rhino being on irc. I myself went on irc to check things out, albeit a bit late. Also speculated a bit with MnM & Pf before I did a big check on IP (this was prior to Ramond clarifying the ghost talk rules). I jumped at it to check the IPs and stuff, and decided Rhino was lying. Luti later admitted he set things up multiple times, including over Skype to me. He did mention the IP thing, but at that time I asked "what IP thing?" as I wasn't sure what he meant. I guess now he meant he also faked the IP for this apparent Rhino irc thing, and Luti seems honest and nervous about his choice of lynches due to his previous actions having likely killed 2 citizens.

I revealed myself as citizen to both Luti and Manga when they asked for a role exchange. Luti said he was a citizen, Manga said he was a doctor. I mentioned I'd probably lynch MnM next if nothing big happens because he seemed disinterested.

edit: I have spoken to mfc as well(prior to Ramond clarifying the ghost talk rules), but ultimately didn't change my thoughts on the matter. I'm also given a link to a prophecy list, but I promised NOT to peek at it until this round ends. I think I also discussed the reason why pf was killed - I followed the same line of logic Manga gave that if Manga was truly doctor and would save himself, then mafia wouldn't want to kill him for risk of wasting a night kill.
edit2: I do also suspect those who aren't active on this thread. While typing this post I have a hunch that the mafia are the least active few people... but whatever, I had mob lynched two one innocent.

And now Manga & Luti suddenly changed their votes, with Manga doing so first. And now Hellblazer makes this useless post. Ugh.

That's all I have to say. I'm keeping my vote on Rhino for now only because I have no bloody clue what's going on anymore and to keep a tie going.
